Extremely under rated movie with the best hollywood boxing fight ever shot in my opinion. This is one of those movies that I hold close, because this is one of the movies I love that most people dislike or know little of (and there are a few of them sadly).

Surprisingly good I wouldn't have thought that I'd enjoy a boxing movie, but this was actually enjoyable and viewable all the way through -- without ever becoming outstanding. Harrelson and Banderas play off each other well as best friends who are thrown into a Mike Tyson undercard, and the interplay with the communal love interest Grace [Davidovich] really developed the characters in a short space of time. Sizemore and Wagner make cameos as the promoter and financier of the fight, and an array of famous people make appearances as ringside guests at the big fight. Possibly the best performance was from the ever excellent Lucy Liu, in a role that was a fantastic parody of itself. Good fun.

In this movie, he (Shelton) falls so hard he becomes, for the first time in his career, genuinely offensive.

Ron Shelton, king of the sports comedy, well they can't all be winners.
