Wonderful coming of age movie set in the 80s....80s references were awesome... But it's more than just an 80s throwback film... the story is super touching and wonderfully crafted.

Laugh out loud funny, especially the school counselor, and also heartwarming, sweet and nostalgic at moments. Truly evocative of the 80s. Definitely worth the watch..

Loved this movie!! It's funny, heartwarming and filled with 80's nostalgia including an amazing soundtrack!!!! Great characters and strong performances from the fresh-faced cast.

From the homophobic slurs to the lowest common denominator body humor to the stale gender politics, Pitching Tents is all cutesy retro raunchiness without any innovation or comedic payoff. It might have been excusable back in the day, but now it’s just boring.

[Jim Norton] manages to elevate the script and role he was given and bring comedic life to his character. Unfortunately, the good doesn't help the story's blandness.
