Pipe Dream does have its charms. The leads are natural and lovely, the pace is serene, the humor wry and sprightly.

Wow. This was a little slow sometimes but a real gem! I enjoyed it a lot. And yes, you can say, that it's because I'm a super die hard Martin Donovan fan. But more than that, this was quirky, light, fun and entertaining. Thumbs up!

Stocked with an impressively high-quality collection of New York actors. Unfortunately, in asking them all to play such unlikable characters, Walsh flushes too much of that talent down the drain.

Pic, which may be too cutesy for some tastes, is lacking in substance in some areas but it has a wonderfully nuanced, constantly surprising perf by Mary-Louise Parker, who elevates the intermittently charming insider spoof.

A gentle little parable about what the "perception categories" of regular people as well as those in the movie business that was in the theaters for a short period of time and currently is playing on cable and so forth. Martin Donovan, as David, and Mary-Louise Parker, as Toni, make a delightful pair at the center of the story. Both performers are good at playing comedy, something that Mr. Donovan doesn't get to do often because we always tend to see him portraying intense characters. On the other hand, Ms. Parker is such an accomplished actress, she can do anything at all. The rest of the cast is excellent. It's a very sweet understated comedy with excellent performances by the leads.
