I thought it was entertaining, funny, and suitable for the whole family. It takes a lot of guts to remake a movie like Blazing Saddles and while it isn't perfect, it's just the right amount of humor and spirit. I don't know what mistakes were made regarding whether it had Chinese or Japanese tones, but it's an animated movie which shouldn't be taken too seriously. Just like its predecessor, it should be watched with an open mind. If you worry too much about things like that, perhaps a documentary is more fitting.

It is strange movie actually. I don’t think I get lots of positive emotions while watching it. Of course it has great ideas and actors (voices of actors), but it was... Not really funny I guess. Yes, cartoon about samurai dog with Samuel L. Jackson wasn’t funny. Mostly, it’s kid movie. And jockeys are for kids. But I guess they thought about adults only while finishing making “Paws of Fury”. It is why some funny jokes could be seeing here. Like when they talked about curiosity and cars, or scene with falling horses. You may watch it if you like, but I don’t think it would become your favourite movie and you’ll recommend it for everyone.

Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank curiously exists as a Mel Brooks movie remake, though that's also its most redeeming feature.
