I just finished watching this movie on Netflix and it has a great story-line, great acting, and smooth continuity within the cast. It's very believable and many families have gone through this same scenario. The acting did not seem contrived or out-of-touch with reality.

Yes, it's sentimental and predictable, but there's a warmth and charm about Marcus Markou's feature debut that makes it hard to resist.

The predictable movie takes too long to develop to the good warm parts. The entire movie is spent on the main characters adjustment. The characters are good and there is always the promise of some really emotional roller coaster but too little happens.

Humorous, emotional, charming film that sees fish and chips bring families and communities together. A great, easy watch that will have you leaving the cinema with a feelgood feeling..and a craving for a fish supper!

Simple, gentle, mildly amusing (a bit like myself - sober) comedy about a wealthy businessman who loses everything but in so doing rediscovers the value of family, friendship and love. Weaknesses: pedestrian pace, lack of bite. Strengths: no forced jokes in search of a laughter track, strong ensemble cast.
