Great art and beautiful soundtrack. Plot was limited to man versus nature with boy gets girl added in.

If this whole movie was JUST the first scene, it would get five stars, simply because of the PHENOMINAL imagery in the beginning. But alas, then the story started, and I had to sstop myself from laughing. Although the movie is a lot of fun, the story has quite a few holes in it and the character relationships are absolutely horrible. Also, the script is pretty bad. However, it's a good movie to show your kids and visually it's unbelievable. And the MUSIC is outstanding.

The dialogue wasn't that great. Some parts of the plot seemed rushed and it was hard to take it seriously. The ending in particular was like that. The plot didn't explain a lot of back story that I thought was the more interesting aspect of the movie.

This was a tough one for me. I will say right off the bat that the animation was really good, but strange at the same time. There would be a scene where the water was CG and very real looking. Then the next seen would be back to drawn water. It would make it kind of annoying at points going back and forth. The story was ok, but not really solid. It had a nice fantasy feel to it, but did seen rushed and there was a lot of scenes that were just a little too cheesy with the words coming out of their mouths. The voice overs for the most part were pretty solid and nice to listen to. So overall, it was an ok movie to watch, just not as good as I thought it would be.
