The directors have taken influence from the Studio Gibli world of anime along with strong Ghost In The Shell influence in machinery animation to deliver you a glorious feast for your eyes. Set in the future humanity is at war with the forest while one habitation tries to keep peace and a balance. As always the anime story writers are able to use infinity more animation in their stories than Hollywood can muster up and with some visually amazing direction your eyes will want to watch this over and over again

Sort of like a cross between 'Princess Mononoke' and 'Nausicaa'. The animation as well as the storyline was pretty nice but the dialogue sounded a bit too cheesy. I watched a dubbed version and it could be either bad dubbing or writing. I don't really know for sure. 3 September 2008

It is an excellent movie that despite being a bit longer than it should is masterfully animated, has exceptional sound and music, and is worth seeing for its positive environmental message alone. It is no Nausicaä, but it is a wonderful effort that is most definitely worth watching.

Tree people are fucked up. It's ok, not great. It looks fine, I prefer that one where the wolf asks, "Can I bite him now." Although weaponized volcanoes are cool.
