Extremely insightful doc re what was actually occurring in the war against Iraq after 9/11. Its evident from the start that this is the daily reality that news shows at the time would condense into 5-6 minute segments, which we now know barely scratched the surface of the issues/developments they were reporting on. Unfortunately, its another gritty and provocative reminder that the 1st casualty in any war is the truth. We're simply given a narrative that ensures 10-15min later our attention has shifted to something else. Bc if we actually accepted the reality of the situation, it would likely impact us in ways that are currently unimaginable. To a much much much lesser extent than what the filmmaker personally went through.

There are scenes here that you can't unsee, much as you might want to.

This journalist gets the shadow, chaos, and death of our involvement in the mid-east conflict spot on. Through his eyes we see the high cost of America's desire to 'big brother' the rest of the world. We all so see the origin story of a new kind of terror - Isis - and how we played right into it. Not for the faint-of-heart, but very worth seeing.

Much is learned from Ware's words of haunted experience, mostly that while war is indeed destructive, it can also plant seeds for even more rotten fruit to grow.

Brutal..Absolutely Brutal. It Is Rated R-18+ For A Reason, Being The Final Swan Song Of A War Correspondent The World Had Never Seen Before, But You Just Cannot Unsee What His Footage Portrays; The Depravity, Insanity, Pain & Hate All Flowing As Strong Undercurrents In The Pools Of Blood. The Filmmaking Is Without Doubt 5-Stars, But The Story, Well...Some Things Are Better Left Unsaid...
