Not as good as I hoped, but, it was an ok Christmas story about the importance of Christmas spirit

Quite possibly my favorite full-length Christmas movie. Why? No idea. Absolutely none. All I know is the cast is awesome (especially Harry Dean Stanton as Gideon the Christmas Angel - as stupid as that title sounds, he's the best character... so mysterious... he'd make a perfect Roland if they ever turn Steven King's Dark Tower books into movies... I always pictured Roland that way... and that's the bestest Santa EVER! Anyway, back on topic...), the story is great and original (who ever thought there'd be shooting and drowning in a Christmas movie?), and the theme is... well, tearful. I can relate... I've sort of become disenchanted with Christmas in recent years too. But I still love this movie, and I think I always will.
