November (2007)

An old and rather weary man feels his end draw near and decides to make a trip, armed with a bag of sandwiches and a newspaper. His gaze wanders across the bustle of the city. Style over substance is nothing new. But if it must happen, shouldn't the style be original?

Cox is more interesting when she is making you laugh, but it doesn't help this film.

Rene Rodriguez 18 Aug 2005

Cox's morose performance could not be less interesting, Harrison's visual stylings all feel borrowed from David Fincher movies and nine inch nails music videos, and the film's elliptical mysteries, which twist onto themselves a la Mulholland Drive, aren't interesting enough to ponder.

I really liked this movie. I didn't know much about it before I watched it, but it turned out to be an excellent drama. It was definitely odd at times and a little confusing but by the end you knew exactly what had happened. A great film dealing with grief, death and accepting the tragedies that life has thrown at you.

Excruciatingly, the film disgorges its crime and variations of it again and again. We'd prefer more detective work and less of what plays out as a grisly loop.
