A cinematic and emotional experience like none other. Wouldn't call it a documentary per se, it's more than that. The creators of this exceptional film successfully recreated John Hull's notes on his initial battle and later acceptance and maybe even appriciation of going blind. All of his struggles, ups and downs, even some surprisingly blissful moments he went through, shown in a beautifully artistic way.

If the subject interests you, don’t let my mildly negative review dissuade you from going to see it. I would like to see it again myself, but this time in the version I can share with several of my relatives whose vision is no longer present.
