Night of the Templar (2012)

The stage is set for retribution as an eclectic group is lured to a secluded European Castle under the guise of a promised "fantasy weekend." And as they read from an obscure storybook, a nefarious tale of avarice is reenacted for their entertainment. However, they are unaware that they have been gathered for their own personal and befitting executions.

This is definitely not your run of the mill indie film. I thought I was going into a medieval kingdom of heaven regurgitation but it was very far from that. It feels like the writer took medieval times, revenge, old English cult "Hammer Films" , a very European approach to film making, sex appeal, revenge, a scoop of Tarantino, Lynch, and tossed in a truck load of originality and fun and somehow pulled off a film that I've watched three times now and learn something different with each view. and feel like I'm watching a different movie. I would love to be able to classify it's genre but I can't. In the end it stands on it's own eight feet, because it has that many. Hopefully it gets the exposure it deserves.

Very entertaining movie. Loved the acting and directing. Thought it was spot on. Kept me on the edge of my seat as I didn't know what to expect next. I will watch it a 2nd time so you go enjoy it a first time

Sort of strange and wacky film about the Konghts Templars.

Badly written, badly photographed, badly acted ... David Carradine's worst film.

This should be on everyone's list of cult classics. The film is unique and well done. Love the humor and the gore. Carradine, Reedus, Drego incredible cast. Cudos to Sampson for for sticking to basics and keeping it real. Almost expected Vincent Price to pop out somewhere. I like the humor in this film. Its twisted. Personally, my kind of stuff. Sampson has put together the right balance of humor, gore, and mystery. The woman are all hot and worth watching if that's all you are interested in. Definitely some enjoyable scenes with the woman. For 10 bucks at Walmart, its worth grabbing a copy. You will probably watch it more than once. It's a Saturday night cult horror classic like they used to make them.
