Lyrically involving and deeply sensual, Neon Bull showcases a full-bodied artist in command of his form.

This movie relies heavily on the cowboy/fashion designer dicotomy, but does so wasting every opportunity for conflict. It has no plot, which is not necessarily a problem, but way too many scenes are there just to hit the 90 minute mark. Not even the great cast and above-average photography is able to make an endless amount of cowboy scences doing ordinary cowboy stuff something meaningful or pleasant to watch.

John Bleasdale 18 Sep 2015

Although the narrative risks becoming arbitrarily episodic towards the end, Neon Bull is a genuine celebration of its characters and their grounded physical life as well as their obstinate ability to dream.
