In 2009, six friends arrive at an isolated cabin to enjoy a long weekend in the snow. An epic snowstorm interrupts their vacation, trapping them on the mountain and resurrecting the haunting ghosts of the Donner Party. But, are they true 'entities' or is it simply 'cabin fever' that brings out their fears and darkness, causing friends to turn against each other as reality deteriorates around them.

If you have ever really wanted a zombie film featuring the reanimated corpses of the Donner Party, then you will most likely be disappointed in this film just like everyone else who watches it. A plodding, puerile, predictable piece of crap...

I actually am not sure why I found this even remotely interesting, because it shouldn't be. But in some nonsensical, inexplicable way, it's actually kind of... not bad. I hate to say it's good, because that might be praising it a little too much. But if you're into super cheesy, low-budget quasi-horror, you might enjoy this.

My general rule is once I've read a synopsis or occasionally a review or have seen one trailer I tune out everything else so I can enjoy the film without having everything ruined for me or be influenced by an opinion. Apparently I'm gonna have to change that rule because here lately more times than not I've been burned because of what I expect. Case in point, this one. I was expecting a zombie movie but it is not. It is a thriller with a little bit of supernatural thrown in. And a very, very boring one to boot. Summary: Do not waste your time with this uninspired, poorly written coma-inducing borefest.

I think people are too hard on indie horror films. Sometimes the acting wasn't all that great, and no, the effects weren't super CGI mega awesome OMG, but it kept me watching, and it wasn't THAT bad. As a Psychology student, I also loved that they actually did their research on Schizophrenia instead of mistaking it for 'multiple personality disorder' or anything like that. Given, this would be a SEVERE case, but still. They bothered to look at the actual disorder....a lot of high budget movies don't even do that.
