Un film de Gregg Araki (doom generation, totally F***ed up, smiley face...) tire du roman de Scott Heim. l ete de ses huit ans, 5 heures de sa vie ont disparu...Depuis, Bryan Lackey est persuade d avoir ete enleve par des extraterrestres. Pour en etre sur, il doit retrouver neil McCormick, qui est le seul a connaitre la verite. Neil, un outsider a la beaute du diable, une petite frappe dont tout le monde tombe amoureux mais qui ne s attache a personne, sait ce qui s est passÃ© cet apres midi la. Et lui non plus ne s en est pas remis. Brian tente de retrouver neil pour denouer le mystere qui les empeche de vivre.

this is not what you would expect from gregg araki, the guy who did doom generation and nowhere. a film about child sexual abuse, it is absolutely haunting, brutal, and heartbreaking. few movies have affected me the way this one did. seriously, solondoz's 'happiness' has got nuthin' on this film. this is also the movie that made me fall in love with joseph gordon-levitt.

Well-written script that pulls you right in. Excellent casting and an amazing performance by Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Surprising and engaging throughout. Looking forward to reading the original novel.

j'ai pu enfin le voir et je ne suis absolument pas dÃ©Ã§u ! par contre je reste encore sans voix. il va me falloir un petit peu de temps encore pour analyser cet excellent film.
