"My Brother" is an inner city story of two impoverished boys, Isaiah and James. James is developmentally disabled. Their mother, L'Tisha, finds herself in a tragic situation. Dying of tuberculosis, she desperately tries to get her two boys, eight and eleven at the time, adopted together. Finding that only Isaiah can be adopted. L'Tisha makes the only choice she feels she can make; creating an unbreakable bond of love between the boys, and hoping that bond will get them through life. Her prayers are answered as the boys overcome impossible odds on their way to adulthood, staying as close as ever as young men dealing with life's obstacles.

It was an emotional movie but the ending it was sort of strange. It didn't made me cry as other drama movies but it touched me. It could be a little more details of their story.

This movie was so good! Its guaranteed to make any african american cry even the thugs (the hardest of the hard) lol! I was mad @ them boys for beating up James cuz they was so Damn wrong! But I had tears in my eyes when Vanessa said she didnt want Isaiah to carry the cross at such a young age I mean dang imagine u was 10 didnt know much about surviving yourself & then had to take care of your other sibling who's retarded. Dang thats alot. I almost cried at the end too when Isaiah went to find James! It was so heartfelt. I still wanted to know who James daddy was..prolly that Louie guy. It was good though!
