This is a geat movie, love Drew Barrymore and she plays good at always and Hugh Grant is so good in this one always so funny and great actor. Like that he plays a pop star and he and Drew is cute together like the story and a feel good movie.

The king of romantic comedy combines with the well travelled queen in Lawrences beautifully written tale of a couple coming together through songwriting. The gentle humour passes wry comment on 80's pop music and the celebrity pop circuit. Unintentionally it also exposes the banality elton johns dirge like piano music. Marc Lawrence has taken richard curtis's crown with the elegant dialog so magnificently delivered by the principals.

This is a wonderful "feel-good" movie that also has substance. Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore are a delight to watch...and listen to. Love the hilarious take-off of the 80s WHAM group with Grant hip-grinding and butt-moving with the best of them. Okay, George Michael was better, but Grant is pretty good and easy on the eyes also. When I need an optimistic film, this is the one I turn to. Highly recommended.
