Great Movie and great performances by Both Brando and Brynner, so underrated !!

Overlong but good. Marlon Brando adds something to any film he is in. Fine cinematography and score. Disturbing at times, but it is a strong film. Nice direction. It should have been a film that stands out, but just isn't.

Brando gives a powerful performance as a German deserter in this fact-based WWII drama, which was underestimated at the time.

Worth seeing for the actors, especially Brando, Brynner, Howard, and Cox. Weak story with some glaring moments that strain credulity.
