Morituri (1965)

A German living in India during World War II is blackmailed by the English to impersonate an SS officer on board a cargo ship leaving Japan for Germany carrying a large supply of rubber for tyres. His mission is to disable the scuttling charges so the captain cannot sink the ship if they are stopped by English warships.

as you can tell i love marlon brando..he is amazing on screen and as always plays his character very well...yul brynner is amazing on screen to as the captain fo teh ship..and in the end...turns out to be not a bad guy after all...check it out definitely! :D

Morituri is an amazing film. It is about a war pacifist is blackmailed to pose as an SS officer. Marlon Brando and Yul Brynner give excellent performances. The screenplay is well written. Bernhard Wicki did a great job directing this movie. I enjoyed watching this motion picture because of the action and drama. Morituri is a must see.

Much more interesting than the guns-and-glory '40s movies about WWII! Brando & Brynner are awesome, and I'm really impressed this film was so frank about the plight of the female prisoner.

Great suspense film with thrilling subtext and twists. Interesting camera work such as when Brando (Kyle) starts in the foreground early in a shot and arrives in the background of the same shot to show the passage of time. A very worthy actor's duel between Marlon Brando and Yul Brynner!
