Mom and Dad Save the World (1992)

Emperor Spengo sees Marge Nelson and using a giant magnet, kidnaps her and her husband Dick, hoping to make Marge his before blowing up the Earth. The Emperor and other inhabitants of his planet are somewhat less than bright, and Dick begins reliving episodes of Flash Gordon and Buck Rogers in order to rescue Marge, save the Earth, and restore the rightful emperor to the throne.

A movie I loved watching when I was a child. Not great, but just right.

A film in the tradition of goofball b films like Suburban Commando and all those other Hulk Hogan films. A ludicris plot with ludacris performances with ludicris characters. The film is just a complete and total getaway from reality which is honestly what we should look for sometimes in a movie.

If you want to take a movie seriously, go watch Firefly. Otherwise, the stupidfunny here is awesome.
