Mitchell is a dedicated cop. After an 18-hour surveillance shift, he spends his free time investigating a murder he's been told to stay away from. At home, Mitchell enjoys drinking cold Schlitz and may sleep with a hooker - but won't pay for it.

Well, this is no Final Justice, I have to say. It was something more like Initial Justice. On that note, I must warn you that this movie would be better if: a) Joe Don Baker were heavier (he really doesn't look out of shape or anything here, I scarcely recognize the man) b) he cautioned a Maltese cab driver to drive on the other side of the road and c) he had a deputy who got shot by gangsters and, dying, slides down a wall twice. BUT there is a wretched theme song in which he is serenaded by Hoyt Axton, which is not at all homoerotic, even if you're predisposed to liking that sort of thing.

After seeing the unedited version of this tale of a slob cop and the stoned hooker who loves him, I hate it even more than the MST3K gang. Highlights include John Saxon's death in a dune buggy, and longer Schlitz-soaked love scenes. A must-avoid if there ever was one.
