Mistaken for Strangers (2013)

Mistaken for Strangers follows The National on its biggest tour to date. Newbie roadie Tom (lead singer Matt Berninger's younger brother) is a heavy metal and horror movie enthusiast, and can't help but put his own spin on the experience. Inevitably, Tom's moonlighting as an irreverent documentarian creates some drama for the band on the road. The film is a hilarious and touching look at two very different brothers, and an entertaining story of artistic aspiration.

This is not about The National, it's about struggling with creative ambitions and watching others get ahead in life with the things you want to achieve. While it wander's too much on the unimportant, you can't help but admire the emotional connection of the two brothers and their differences.

Documentary following Tom Berninger the younger brother of Matt as a roadie in The Nationals tour. More of a story about two brothers and fame than the band in itself but you'll get an interesting inside look of life on the road and how it affects people and their relationships.

On the eve of The National biggest tour to date, the lead singer invites his brother along as a roadie, a role he decides to film. This is a great documentary and one that embraces showing the more personal side of touring. I've never heard of The National yet it makes no difference as this is ultimately about friendship, trust & family.

Very interesting look at a phenomenal band. Also an accidental examination of the bonds of family and the relationship between brothers.

Not really about The National but more about the lead singer's slacker brother. Surprisingly entertaining.
