While dining out with friends, Sy suggests the difficulty of separating comedy from tragedy. To illustrate his point, he tells his guests two parallel stories about Melinda ; both versions have the same basic elements, but one take on her state of affairs leans toward levity, while the other is full of anguish. Each story involves Melinda coping with a recent divorce through substance abuse while beginning a romantic relationship with a close friend's husband.

Well its a Woody Allen film, so you know its slow. But I really liked it, and not just because its got someone who is funny just by being on film, but because it shows how people are in the social part of life. Plus I like Love stories.

Woody gets a lot of crap, but I really liked this movie. Don't expect a lot of ups and downs, just straight ahead ACTING!

Good little piece on how fiction is manipulated and, well, just fiction. I liked it and I think Allen gets a bad rap for his personal life. To write and direct over 40 feature length films is quite a feat. Niot all of them are great but he still has some gems, like this one.
