Melati Dibalik Terali (1961)

After Ina's boyfriend leaves her, she gets married but the marriage is short-lived when he is killed in an accident. Ina gets acquainted with Hari who claims to be a businessman but is actually a fugitive. Ina is seduced and agrees to marry Hari. He spends Ina's wealth to finance his gang of criminals. Ina is clueless and she even borrows money and jewelry from her friends to support Hari's ailing business. Being a police target, Hari feels threatened and flees. Ina realizes she has been manipulated and is thrown to jail because she cannot pay up her debts. In jail, she bumps into Hari. The police are using Hari to expose the crime of his fellow gang members. He is collaborating to minimize his punishment and to free his wife from any charges.
