It was good for a recent thriller. I really loved the way it started - a classic nod to the thriller genre. It then went down really as cliched and uninteresting. Great acting by both of the leads though.

This was just another showcase for Samuel L. Jackson playing his crazy, intimidating, 'guy that wants to teach you a lesson' character, Mildly entertaining, somewhat ridiculous and unbelievable and not at all original.

Oddly, I liked it. Dude loses all meaning to his existence. That I can understand. Killing spree.. Not so much. lol

I think people will reject this as they think it's a different movie than what it is. The trailer makes it seem that way. Honestly, it's not a bad film. Sure there are flaws because it did seem uneven but it was still pretty good. I'll have to read the book.
