McCullin, who was nearly seventy-five when the documentary was shot, is an extraordinary narrator of his life and work.

This is pretty straight up documentary making but for fans of McCullin and those interested in photography in general, it's recommended viewing.

retrospective to a great body of work and insight into one who witness so much human suffering throughout his career. Somewhat episodic and not really biographical and felt rather like a film accompanying a gallery exhibition.

Excellent documentary for those with an interest in photography or not. It's pretty graphic in places which is to be expected given the subject matter. I'd recommend it though. It's available on Sky Arts at the moment.
