Marc Bolan & T. Rex - Born to Boogie (1973)

By 1972, the seminal English glam-rock band T-Rex was at the height of what came to be known as "T-Rexstacy:" they had already scored three of their soon-to-be ten straight Top 10 hits. To celebrate their success, Bolan and T-Rex played two sold-out performances at London's Wembley Empire Pool, captured on film by none other than former Beatles drummer Ringo Starr and released as the now-legendary concert film BORN TO BOOGIE. The only existing recording of a full T-Rex concert, BORN TO BOOGIE is centered around the dual live performances (with Ringo and Elton John guest starring on two tracks) and interspersed with an acoustic set filmed at John Lennon's mansion, goofy backstage footage of Bolan, and surreal sequences of nuns and dwarves inserted for visual effect.

I waited 36 years to see this....the concert footage is dated but made me smile....the filler bits for the most part look like there was alot of dope around...the documentary by Rolan Bolan was very interesting...for T-Rex fans only (and I'm one)

This is an amzing film on Marc Bolan's part. It's awesome even though at the time it was put down by the film critics it's still great. ive watched it over n overt again and im still not tired with it. Marc bolans music sounds fresh, even today x{alice}x xxx

This is all just so surreal. Chocolate rear view mirrors, Ringo Starr dressed as some sort of hedgehog and catweazle serving mr. bolan some tea while he's playing with a string quartett in John Lennons backyard. So wrong, so brilliant.

Raw Rock n Roll like it use to be! A T.Rex fans dream, nicely restored DVD presentation with many extra's including a bonus matinee performance. Great sounding Remastered 5~1 sound track to match the restored Film. Includes the studio session with Elton on piano and Ringo on drums with Marc and T.Rex. They had a lot of Fun making this movie and it shows.
