Beautiful, in every sense of the word. This film is an editing masterpiece. A montage of Soviet era life that is, in turn, graceful and aggressive, naturalistic and impressionistic, raw and embellished. If the art of film interests you then this one is definitely worth a viewing.

The film would be exciting to watch even completely silent, both because it’s a valuable record of Soviet city life at the end of the 1920s, and because it explodes with visual ideas.

really an interesting watch. Starts out as if still life photography, and then progresses from there to more and more frantic scenes, very interesting experimentation, and also a glimpse of the soviet union in the late 20's.
