Ok. Didn't see the twist coming although I knew something was off. Davis and Lopez are great actors, which lifted the material somewhat

A generic thriller, its plot offers nothing new, after all it is a film about revenge and retribution, perhaps the relevant point is that it is about women in the role of judges and executioners.

I am not sure a film about mothers tracking vicious gang bangers is such a great idea, specifically since there are many glaring faults.

A thriller which packs a bang, or two, with two stellar performances by Viola Davis and Jennifer Lopez. Still, the film is rushed far too often - so much that emotion barely has enough time to build. With a better written screenplay and much needed stronger direction, Lila & Eve could have been so much more.
