Les Girls (1957)

After writing a tell-all book about her days in the dance troupe "Barry Nichols and Les Girls", Sybil Wren is sued for libeling her fellow dancer Angele. A Rashômon style narrative presents the story from three points of view where Sybil accuses Angele of having an affair with Barry, while Angele insists that it was actually Sybil who was having the affair. Finally, Barry gives his side of the story.

Quite refreshing film. Loved to watch Taina Elg and Mitzi Gaynor dancing, they were great.

See this if only for the dance scene where Gene Kelly is a 'biker'. He is absolutely superb.

I love MGM musicals and I love Gene Kelly. This is one of my favorites. Read the plot summary and give it chance. You won't regret it!

This was a great movie, i loved the whole Rashomon thing going on and the style of the movie was great. The songs could've been better, but there were some memorable ones, like the one at thethetre where they dress as some king's 'girls' and the motorcycle gang part, which was particularly amazing.
