A disturbing, yet beautiful, profile of a family. More than generational clash, it exposes rural vs urban responsibilities and lifestyles. At the same time, it's an look at how the need for work migration has affected rural families far from the city factories in China. Leaves me wondering - what are the solutions to the myriad of issues.

An eye opening documentary that gives insight into the struggles seen by Chinese migrant workers. The film centers around a family that is together only once per year, during the Chinese New Year, as they a hard time maintaining the roles of a traditional family.

It's unbelievable what these migrant workers have to go through every year to get home on the train. Not only that but the conditions they work and live in, and how their health suffers. And when they do get home, after nearly being crushed on a train, they have to face their angry rebellious children who think they don't love them. Beautiful, haunting and Sad, wonderfully shot. Empathic and emotional, a great little movie.
