A movie much ahead of its time in the story and picturisation of emotions. Sridevi does a wonderful job as mother and daughter and so does Anil kapoor as a man who is in love with the mother but eventually ends up falling for the daughter.

I saw this movie when I was 8, I loved it back then & still after all those years it still stands up pretty well. Without a shadow of a doubt the finest of all Yash Chopra films. The film for me is as much about true friendship as it is about unrequinted love. One of my all time favorites

I guess I have a problem with a story that has a guy falling in love with a girl that is the daughter of the girl he loved. Maybe I'm old fashioned, but that's my thinking at least.
