Akira Kurosawa maybe obscured from western world movie lovers, however his influences and his way of storytelling has been inspired so many in Hollywood. This documentary, by his friends and people inspired by him, is a great introduction to the man. One of a great director of all time.

Without the Master were would we be today....I do not even want to think about cinema without him in it.

An intriguing and informative documentary about Kurosawa, using a good bit of material from his autobiography, and many well-selected excerpts.

Adam Low's documentary isn't the smooth flowing professional film you'd expect about such a consummate artist, but anyone who appreciates Kurosawa will find plenty to enjoy
