Classic 1980s horror flick, all big-hair, with an MTV-style rock video opening, a cast of genre favorites, and a bunch of sorority pledges and frat guys being sauteed at an April Fool's masquerade bash.

April Fool's Day would have made much more sense except that the original April fool's Day movie had already owned the name first. A cross between any slasher sorority movie and The Exorcist as it centers on the friendship of 3 young women of Vivia (Sherry Willis-Burch), Jennifer (Joanna Johnson) and Phoebe (Elaine Wilkes).

A fairly typical revenge tale of pranks gone wrong that has a few comedic bits going for it, this one manages to spice things up a bit from the average slasher. Rental.

Minor spoilers: A somewhat disposable plot of 3 girls trying to join a sorority and a slow, non-slashery first hour or so. There are some fun college antics while people largely just get ready for the costume party. In the final third, the party happens and things really speed up. There is a cool party in an old house and people start getting killed. Then you find out who the killer is and it turns into a kind of Demonic horror movie. It's pretty cool so stay for the whole party

Another film from 1986 where there's an April Fool's theme, not to mention a sorority/fraternity/pledge theme. This obviously had a decent budget but a very crappy story, not only was the (very few) slash scenes off-screen there was almost no blood. What makes it even worse? Nothing happened until the last 15 minutes of the movie. The movie within a music video within a movie in the beginning was FAR more interesting than the feature film. Killer Party was far from killer, no matter the definition.
