Kill Command (2016)

Set in a near future, technology-reliant society that pits man against killing machines. Against this backdrop an elite army unit is helicoptered to a remote, off-the-grid island training facility. What starts out as a simple training exercise for Captain Bukes and his tight-knit unit, descends into a terrifying battle to the death, as the marines discover the island is overrun by an enemy that transcends the human concept of evil.

Not bad for a low budget flick. The special effects were stellar considering the budget.

Horrible movie, yes some nice effects, lacking plot and substance though. captain never trusted and yes continued to allow the "tech head" to stay with the party and never questioned substantive. One of the earliest remarks was where the tech head told captain that he was letting his men die, well just before that, she said she was the one who created them, thus creating the entire plot line of the movie. It failed constantly in contradicting itself and is just not worth watching imho.

The plot is basically that of Walter Hill's Southern Comfort, but with robots instead of rednecks (something I never knew I wanted until I saw Kill Command) and a healthy dash of the Alien franchise thrown in for good measure.
