I think it would be easy to dismiss this as Yojimbo on LSD; but despite featuring werewolf samurai, spider prostitutes and a cyclops, it actually had it's moments.

Werewolf Samurai, sounds cool huh, but this film was a chore to get through. Nothing really happens between the opening scene and the end.

Kibakichi is a werewolf samurai. He has a very awesome look. A mix between Native-American hobo and Road Warrior samurai. The movie was along the same quality as Shogun Assassin. A medium amount of blood and a goodly amount of swordplay. The monsters reminded me of the bad guys in Power Rangers. A little cheesy, but very Japanese. Some of the characters had very excellent tattoos, especially the woman. The plot was very mediocre, but also very Japanese. The outsiders come to the village and destroy the way of life. It doesn't get more nationalist than that. I have seen endless movies of this type. I hope the sequel is better. I won't hold my breath.

What the fuck. What the fuck. Seriously, what is wrong with Japan. Nothing has ever made me say that as much as this movie, and I've seen a lot of weird shit come out of Japan.
