Brie and Keir are great. Movie was just "eh"

Excellent movie. I was surprised when I saw it was a comedy, though, since I only chuckled maybe twice throughout. The story and characters (notably Peck and Emily) were developed extremely well. But what stood out to me the most was the dialogue--being a teenager myself, this movie probably comes closer to replicating actual high school than anything else I've seen. It was surprising, actually: everything from the relationships to the subject matter of the conversations was pretty much true to real life. The darkness in this movie was perfect--just enough to elicit a response but not enough to get depressing. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this movie--that is, if you don't mind language.

It's unbelieveable how little information is known regarding this film so lemme enlighten you. Imagine yourself an average high school teenager (again), with day to day problems, Peck is neither the nerd n'or the jock, i'm glad however that this film doesn't take sides like so many others. Now imagine doing something completely out of the ordinary to attract attention, attention you never had or to make a name for yourself, or one of the main reasons, to impress the opposite sex, nothing out of the ordinary about that, but what Peck does IS. I admit i rather enjoyed this slow chilling paced film, mostly watched it cuz i got me curious about the final outcome, the result of Peck's science project almost throughout the film...at the end being something completely random and weird. This is not a bad film, it is badly marketed and for some reason Keir Glichrist (Peck), here, reminds me of napoleon Dynamite. Enjoy Peace!
