Funny movie with excellent performances by Woods and Arkin. Satirical in its take of the cross-pollination of class, religion, and culture.

Radiates energy. Alan Arkin's zany performance as Reuben is a comic tour de force.

Mordecai Richlers epic novel is brought to life in the film adaptation starring James Woods. Alan Arkin steals every scene he's in , and half the movie is shot in D.D.O.

One of those films that slipped off the radar , while rubbish like terms of endearments gets oscars. Alan Arkin is absolutely brilliant, poor James Woods (although excellent) ends up as a supporting player
