I found this very funny, even though I was unfamiliar with the Jiminy Glick character.

You just can't go wrong when Martin Short puts on the fat suit and assumes the role of Jiminy Glick. Well, I take that back. You can go very, very wrong, but Short's hilarious performance is enough to neutralize the shoddy production value of this flick.

When I heard his Lynch character say "I like the image of a daaark road at night..." one last time I just about lost control of my bodily functions. 2 stars for that, 1 for the image of his wife picking him up off the hotel lobby floor.
