A complete failure. The plot and events are so cliche that you can expect exactly what's about to happen. Not to mention its lack of horror elements and terrible acting.

Overall, its not something you would feel sorry for missing. Not a recommendation. Its just an average low budget horror movie with nothing exceptional or innovative and with barely no form of any kind of fan gratification of the genre.

Steeped in Southern Gothic melodrama, Jessabelle is interesting in some of the small details, and in its strong sense of the Louisiana bayou atmosphere, and then it completely falls apart when it starts being a horror film.

The skeleton key was a far better movie then this adaptation but overall a pretty ok movie for redbox
