La pelicula anterior de este director no fue una obra maestra pero poseia un encanto singular que era capaz de atraparte y hacerte sentir dentro de una atmosfera de nostalgia y melancolia. Pareciera que en esta ocasion el director intenta utilizar ese mismo recurso en una historia de engaño y arrepentimiento que al final no logra construirse y termina por provocar bostezos en lugar de suspiros. En general es bastante floja... es casi imposible no dormirse.

Disappointing for this fan of Last Life in the Universe. I think I would have been fine with it if Asano Tadanobu, who usually can do no wrong in my eyes, wasn't so poor during his english-speaking scenes. The plot is slow and often confusing - some of this may be intentional, but with a story that's so mildly driven, there's no excuse for avoiding elaboration on minor points. Hye-Jeong Kang was good but her character was never properly expounded so there is a clear disparity in the viewer's feelings towards her. Where LLitU was surprisingly good with its multilingual approach, Invisible Waves is too forced and a much less satisfying affair.

I don't get this director. Very slow set up for a sick punchline. Asano has appeared in much better.

I'm starting to fell that Pen-Ek movies are all the same slow paced kind of affair. This was an okay film but 'Last Life In The Universe' is a much better film.
