A script with razor sharp wit, effective and unobtrusive direction and fine performances from the key leads all help ensure this is one of, if not the finest of Ozon's films to date.

Hay un elemento de incertidumbre en la manera en como el director Francois Ozon cuenta esta historia. No sabemos realmente si podemos confiar en los escritos perversos de un estudiante que decide involucrarse con la familia de su mejor amigo o confiar en los consejos de su maestro, quien lentamente se va obsesionando con el peculiar proyecto del alumno. "In the House" es un thriller intelectual, que nos intriga a través de la manipulación literaria y como esta puede ser usada como un arma. Sin duda, es una película que nos intriga de principio a fin. Muy recomendable.

In a way "Dans la maison" is a modern adaptation of "One Thousand and One Nights" but 16 year old Claude is not planning to redeem his literature professor, Germain. The old man and his wife will be caught in the everyday day life of Claude's friend, Rafa, and in the end they will not be able to tell what is real and what is fiction. What would you do if your favorite book characters lived in your neighborhood? What if you were a character in your favorite story? How would you be able to cope with reality?
