Well made factual film essentially a documentary, and naturally sad.

An emotionally tragic tail of the events at Hillsborough. The whole movie is deeply saddening and it really makes you contemplate who is to blame for this, though it seems pretty clear. My heart goes out to the families.

Startlingly good and upsetting dramatisation of the Hillsborough disaster and the failed quest for justice by the families of the dead in its aftermath. Impressively accurate given the recent revelations about the police corruption to cover up their mistakes on the day.

Currently reading Phil Scraton's excellent book on the subject so it seemed the perfect time to re-visit Jimmy McGovern's TV Movie on the subject. The film has lost none of it's raw power mainly because it was so excellently research and stuck so diligently to the facts. One of the worst cover-ups and institutional crimes committed in British history, this really is essential viewing. Genuinely heartbreaking stuff.
