The greatest actor of all time, Richard Harris, here stars in an adaptation of the classic novel (though it only deals with the first half). Considering it's age, the mix of animation and live-action is good enough that after a while you don't notice it. Yes it's twee in places and a tad "Blue-Peter", but it's still better than most Disney films.

An uneasy mix of live action and animation. This adaption fails to fully utilize the talents of Richard Harris and offer one big bore of a story.

The famous tale of Gulliver's travels through the small town of Lilliput is recreated for the screen in a very underwhelming and lazy mixture of live action and animation. Certainly, in 1977 something technically better could have been made.
