Purple Rain = Amazing Graffiti Bridge = WTF? The Kid obviously didn't listen to the advice he got from Billy backstage at 1st Avenue. No one understands his crap, but him. This movie is obviously Prince's wet dream. Save yourself a couple hours and the troube of finding it on ebay. I could have made a better sequel to P.R. with popcicle sticks, Elmers Glue and a couple chihuahuas.

I think this is a profound movie. It has a message behind it versus Purple Rain. Not that I am putting Purple Rain down, I personally loved both movies. But this movie reflects on the previous movie and shows how The Kid has grown and continues to grow, while Morris and his crew are only concerned about money, sex and winning when it comes to The Kid. He still brings up low down things like the fact that The Kid's mother went crazy after the father passed. Therefore, after everything I believe it is good.

The meaning of this clumsy cinematic conundrum is anyone's guess.

Loved the symbolism. Critics hated it. I loved the visuals.

For me Prince is untouchable in musical matters. Even on albums that weren't that good, but what was he trying to do here? is something that perhaps can only be answered by his ego's drive. Obviously, this was much earlier, but Graffiti Bridge is to him what Glitter was to Mariah Carey.
