You forget this movie the moment you leave the theater. It doesn't get very boring, has some funny moments and slight amount of action and tension, but has absolutely no influence on you. It's just a movie that you can watch, enjoy and forget. I don't regret watching it, but I wouldn't watch it twice.

It’s strictly comfort food, 99 percent predictable, though the 1 percent that isn’t — you’ll know it when you see it — is deftly executed.

A funny and deeply moving film, the three stars are a joy to watch. Strasberg says so little, and yet he is often the center of the scene. Carney straddles comedy and drama as brilliantly as he did in Harry and Tonto. Burns is the real surprise here, holding his own, hysterically funny, coldly calculating, heartaching in his poignency.

A geriatric Dog Day Afternoon, as three penniless septuagenarian flatmates decide on a whim to find some excitement robbing a bank. Because they're played by the brilliant George Burns, Art Carney and Lee Strasberg the movie is a delight: gentle, slow, poignant and funny. And beautifully directed by Midnight Run's Martin Brest.
