The Apache Indians have reluctantly agreed to settle on a US Government approved reservation. Not all the Apaches are able to adapt to the life of corn farmers. One in particular, Geronimo, is restless. Pushed over the edge by broken promises and necessary actions by the government, Geronimo and thirty or so other warriors form an attack team which humiliates the government by evading capture, while reclaiming what is rightfully theirs.

THE BEST EVER ROLE PLAYED BY WES STUDI..............GENE HACKMAN IS IN A CLASS OF HIS OWN AS ALWAYS................AND ROBERT DUVALL WELL NOW ...................THE BEST.................... I CAN WATCH IT OVER AND OVER AGAIN.

Great cast. This filmed seemed to get lost by the great westerns of the early 90's like Unforgiven, Last of the Mohicans, and Dances With Wolves. It's farely good, but not amazing.

I gotta say, Jason Patric was *so* gorgeous in this film...tanned and tight, with those incredible cheekbones. Mmmm... (Okay, he was even sexier in Your Friends and Neighbors, where he lounged around the men's locker room without a shirt - OMG *drool* - his abs were AMAZING).

Dark, violent and sad retelling of how the American government took the native land of the Apache, leaving them with nothing but empty promises. Solid and honest.
