EVERYONE needs to watch this movie!! It might just open some minds and hearts -- it's very educational as to what the Bible really does say about homosexuality, and gives a glimpse into the lives of some of the people who have been affected by the misuse of God's word and secular homophobia.

Definitely a must see for those whose families are struggling to balance faith and homosexuality.

At first I thought this movie would be preaching to the choir (pardon the pun), but it is a really eye-opening look at exactly what scripture says about homosexuality and why, in context. The film looks at five conservative families dealing with their prejudice in the face of a gay family member, and follows their change. The film has shown at lots of festivals and even churches. I feel like it would be a good film for conservative families to watch because it shows that there really is no reason for religion to condemn homosexuality, and it does so without 'bashing' religion or religious people who may watch it. I feel like coming away from the film I have a new set of tools to talk to people about LGBTA issues without offending them or scaring them away. The real-life stories of five conservative families coming to grips with their prejudices in the face of a gay family member is inspiring, no matter who you are.

"For The Bible Tells Me So" really digs deep into the issue of what the bible really has to say about homosexuality and explores the hypocrisy of the conservatives preaching hate. I know that many of them deny this, but not only are their views having a negative effect on millions of people struggling with their sexual orientation, but they have been doing this for centuries. Conservatives have been using the bible to justify bigotry against women, and also to justify slavery, segregation and general racism. And now they're doing the same thing with homosexuals. It just goes to prove that religion is such a powerful form of control and shouldn't be messed with. Overall, this film was very entertaining, edgy and provocative. I think that any annoying anti-gay conservative should watch it.
