The Psammead is an 'it', an ancient, ill-tempered sand-fairy with a spider-shaped body, bat-like ears, and snail-like eyes. Eddie Izzard is great as the voice of It. Fun film that doesn't tax too many of the brain cells.

Great as kid's fantasy movies go. Plays around with the idea they pose pretty well. But it's title is a bit blunt, perhaps to cater to it's intended audience.

I tried to enjoy this film but i just couldnt get past the annoying children! Robert has serious anger issues, Horace just freaked me out and Cyril needed to grow a back bone! The storyline was a cute idea but it just didnt really work.
