This was a great movie. I was not in the mood for a big flashy high budget film and this one seemed to fit the bill. Shot in an area that I visit almost every year, it was very down to earth with some quirks to keep it interesting. Accept it for what it is and you will not be disappointed. Don't go if you are a cosmopolitan type person. You will not get this movie at all. But if you are down to earth, I think this movie might mean something more than you might otherwise expect. Enjoy!

'Feed the Fish' is a quiet, funny movie that's a nice take on the old fish-out-of-water formula. The screenplay recognizes the formula and makes it enjoyable with quirky characters and the by turns gorgeous and stark backdrop of Door County, Wis.

Writer-director Michael Matzdorff, a Green Bay native, clearly has an affection for Door County ... But that makes the weather and other up-nort clichés all the more disappointing.

Good, quirky romantic comedy about a burned out children's book writer who travels to Wisconsin in winter to swim in a Polar Bear swim Christmas tradition.

ahhh now i find out something I dont like about the RT feedback and rating system - - when you 'star' a film it makes you 'LIKE' the page on facebook. urrrgh. ahhh yeah this film - I liked it, what else is there to say apart from the badger scene although bizarre actually worked well.
