Kinda sappy and mellow dramatic at times, but it had some delightful moments.

This movie can't decide what it wants to be. Satire? Screwball comedy? Heart-warming dramedy? By the end, I still wasn't sure.

This movie had potential but something got lost in the script. Good talent wasted.

Brian Orndorf 11 Oct 2011

An effort drawn to mediocrity, ignoring wonderful comedic opportunities to make yet another relationship story between a humiliated father and his distrustful daughter.

Ignatiy Vishnevetsky 04 Jan 2012

Though it's got a few good ideas going for it, Father of Invention doesn't seem to know what kind of movie it wants to be.
