As part of Herzorgs experimental artistic works it's a visual treat. For anybody not interested in suh things it's a bore. The film has endless tracking shots of desolate landscapes accompanied by a bizarre voice over detailing a fantasy world. Some men discuss animals and so forth. Some of the images are very striking and the overall feel is that of a dream, weird pieces strung together and open to interpretation. Alternatively you can brush it off as just darn weird.

A surreal, apocalyptic land within our very own world. Herzog highlights one of the most barren locations on the planet with candour and simplicity - set relaxingly to the sounds of Leonard Cohen, and perhaps less relaxingly to the strangest music ensemble you will ever witness...

Werner Herzog has made some monumental films, and a bunch of others that are "merely" great, but in my opinion this one--though admittedly small--dwarfs them all.
